When you start with high quality steak all the seasoning you truly need is a little S&P!

Ingredients
- Beef - Flat Iron Steak
- (A shit Load) Sea Salt
- (To Taste) Fresh Cracked Black Pepper
- (Enough) Butter (optional)
Directions
- Bring steak to room temperature.
- Salt the sh*t out of it! Really though, put a generous amount of good quality sea salt all over the steak.
- Sprinkle with freshly ground black pepper.
- Get a cast iron pan or grill sizzling hot.
- Place steak on the very hot surface. It is important that the surface is hot in order to make the perfect sear.
- Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare.
- Let rest for 5-10 minutes to let the juiced redistribute before slicing.
- Enjoy!
Notes:
*The goal with all the salt and pepper is to create an awesome crust when the meat hits the sizzling pan.
*If cooking in a cast iron pan, it is optional to add butter and baste the steak as it sears.
