Beef suet is the unprocessed crumbly fat that is cut from around the kidney of the steer.
It is highly nutritious and is traditionally used in baked goods.
In fact, suet has been used for hundreds if not thousands of years in baking and cooking!
It has a very high melting point making it perfect for pastry baking.
Suet is also used in the making of tallow, and can be simmered down and rendered to make your very own homemade tallow.
Simply add it to your baking recipes and enjoy the traditional taste of beef suet.
*Our beef is frozen when fresh and packed in a vacuum sealed package.
The cows here at Wolf Oak farm spend their time out on our pastures grazing on diverse grasses and clover.
We also over-seed additional types of forbs, legumes and shrubs for a well balanced salad bar for our livestock.
All that grass-fed goodness absolutely shines through in the quality, taste, and nutrition of our pasture raised beef.
